Matthew Flynn has a decade of experience researching the Asian shipbuilding and maritime fields, first in his role as the East Asia Editor for Lloyd's List and then as the principal of Flynn Consulting. He has lived in Hong Kong and Tokyo for the past ten years. He is a 1993 MA graduate of Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies with a concentration in China, Japan, and International Economics. He is fluent in Mandarin Chinese. In 2003, he completed a 188-page report "China Shipbuilding : The Emerging Giant" published with Poten & Partners of New York . Mr Flynn has also served as the Hong Kong-based editor of Maritime Asia, the only pan-Asian maritime publication. He continues to serve as a correspondent-at-large contributing commentary on all aspects of Asian shipping matters drawing on his extensive contacts and unique access in the region. Mr Flynn has also organized and chaired many conferences in the Asian maritime arena. He is the founder and architect of the Container Shipping Summit, which is now in its sixth year and has been conducted in Hong Kong, Singapore, Shanghai and also Beijing. He is a founding partner of Worldyards. Ms. Pooja has worked in a wide range of marketing positions including customer relationship management, client servicing, brand launching and promotions. Her most recent position previous to joining Worldyards in 2005 was at Singapore's National Kidney Foundation where she was responsible for strategic corporate partnerships. Ms Kumar's rich marketing experience and background also includes a successful tenure as the Business Development Manager for the launch of new brands in USA and India. Ms Kumar holds a Master's of Business Administration qualification from Ohio University in September 2000. Ms. Amanda Pang : Assistant Marketing and Content Manager Amanda Pang has worked in a range of sales and marketing positions in Hong Kong and Thailand. Before joining Worldyards in 2008, Ms. Pang worked in a multi-national company in Bangkok as Product Manager responsible for the company's brand portfolio, corporate partnerships and co-marketing promotion projects with luxury brands worldwide. Ms. Pang obtained her Bachelor degree in Business Studies from City University of Hong Kong in 1997 and is currently pursuing her Master degree in Business Administration (Marketing) at University of Leicester, UK. |
